Position Announcement: Event Center Asst Manager & Compliance Position Description: This position will assist the Director of Athletics & Event Center with the oversight of all Event Center activities (building & equipment maintenance, scheduling of staff, healthy lifestyles program development, intramural activities, building supervision, recreational programming, and memberships). In addition, this position will be responsible for the supervision of Event Center employees, and the administration, planning, direction, implementation and evaluation of all health, fitness and wellness instructional activities and/or programs. Will also coordinate and schedule all event center work study students and plan/administer the intramural program. Will assist Athletics with compliance and eligibility reports. This is a professional staff position reporting directly to the Director of Athletics & Event Center. Prefer skills in health assessment, program planning, evaluation, organizational management, and leadership. The individual must have effective writing and oral communication skills and be enthusiastic. Initiative is a must. Strong organizational skills are required to successfully complete the job. CONTRACT SPECIFICS: This is a full-time professional position beginning April 1, 2023. This is an exempt position with a salary range of $37,000-$41,000 commensurate with education and experience. College/Community Profile: Northeastern Junior College, one of 13 member-colleges of the Community Colleges of Colorado, lies in the rural northeastern Colorado town of Sterling. The community of approximately 13,000 residents enjoys easy access to Denver, the Rocky Mountains and the western-agricultural lifestyle. Northeastern Junior College enrolls approximately 1,500 full and part-time students through a wide variety of majors in associate degree and certificate programs. Approximately 65-70% of our students indicated they plan to transfer on to complete a four-year degree while the other 30-35% of our students pursue careers after completing an AAS degree or certificate program. As a residential campus with six residence halls accommodating 550 students, the college attracts students from throughout Colorado, many states and several foreign countries. Approximately 50 full-time and 30 part-time faculty comprise the teaching staff.
