Our Volunteer Services Coordinator earns a competitive salary from $48,027.20 to $72,030.40 with midpoint control ($60,028.80). Your first year, you can expect to make a starting salary of $48,027.20 -$52,829 depending on years of experience. Is this the opportunity for you? Read on! We're looking for someone to coordinate the City's volunteer recruitment, placement and retention functions. He or she will be recruiting, coordinating, and supervising volunteers to provide ongoing, program, and support for city departments. As a Volunteer Services Coordinator , your duties and responsibilities will include: Coordinating promotion and marketing of volunteer engagement. Planning and coordinating city-sponsored events. Collaborating with city staff to evaluate and establish volunteer needs, developing volunteer opportunities addressing those needs. Recruiting, interviewing, screening, placing, orienting and training volunteers. Establishing and maintaining relationships with outside agencies, such as schools, non-profit organizations, clubs and local businesses. Creating and maintaining volunteer records, forms and procedures. Coordinating, planning and engaging in volunteer recognition activities. Could this be the opportunity for you? We are seeking employees who: Enjoy building relationships with our volunteer community and departments within the City Have the ability to analyze problems and development actionable solutions Exhibit self-motivation by always looking for ways to improve their knowledge and skills Applicants must: Have a strong background in volunteer administration and human resource practices Have knowledge of community demographics and at least 3-5 years of event planning and episodic projects. Proven skill in planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the work of volunteers Ability to work nights and weekends for special events.
