Direct Marketing Solutions is a multi-channel direct marketing company specializing in direct mail & digital marketing. To keep up with our recent growth, we are looking for an experienced Quality Director to join our team. Summary: The Quality Director (QD) leads the quality assurance team in the identification and resolution of quality issues and process improvement opportunities arising from the production of direct mail marketing campaigns. QD ensures production process flows are set up to be error-free, troubleshoots quality issues, recommends, and documents process improvements and develops and provides quality and process improvement training to staff and teams as required. Essential Functions Sets up and manages system which collects and evaluates production samples, ensuring that materials and products meet acceptable quality and integrity standards. Facilitates communication among production departments and management regarding quality and process improvement topics and issues. Drafts and implements quality and process improvement policies and procedures to improve the manufacturing process and the quality of goods produced. Drafts and maintains logs, records, and other documentation of testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria. Maintains records of test results, defects identified, and other key metrics related to quality control. Analyzes quality control test results and offers feedback and interpretations of those results to production management or staff. Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and technological advances in the applicable industry and in the quality control field. Monitors and periodically reports on production quality, nonconformance, trends, and underlying causes of defects in products or processes. Works closely with production leadership and recommends, when necessary, suspension of production when serious product defects or risks arise. Helps to ensure people have the right tools, training, and understanding to do their jobs right the first time. Understands and creates department budget for both DMS facilities. Additional Responsibilities Completes additional assignments and special projects from the Vice President, Operations as needed. Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS values and the Code of Conduct. Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety. Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures. Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith. Qualifications: At least 4 years of experience in implementing and managing a quality process and program in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role Knowledge of production safety requirements and legal standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Location: This is an onsite position based out of either our Freedom, PA or Portland, OR facilities.
