We strive to provide a positive fun environment with plenty of recognition. Daycare After-School Teacher Qualifications: High School Students are welcome to apply! Ages: 16-17 years old Daycare After-School Teacher Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support lead staff with breaks as needed Supervise children at all times maintaining a secure, safe environment for children Help children with their homework. Prepare and implement age-appropriate activities for school-age students in grades K-8 Supervise and participate in outdoor activities with school-age students in grades K-8 Conduct end-of-day checklists Assist with parent delivery, i.e. gathering children's belongings To perform sanitation routine at the end of the day Daycare After-School Teacher Required Skills and Experience: Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors Able to assume postures at low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English 20+ hours of annual childcare training will be provided/required 1+ year Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred) Compensation to commensurate with experience and education.
