Site Director/Teacher needed to manage a Head Start childcare facility in California, MO. Responsible for ensuring a quality center-based program that offers families the full range of Head Start services. Will provide child development, health, nutrition, and family services to children 3 to 5 years old. Includes teaching in the classroom and parent conferences. The Head Start program is an early childhood education program with a structured learning environment. Job Requires: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or related degree with at least 18 credit hours in Early Childhood. Requires 2 years of work experience in the field of early childhood and 2 years of supervisory experience. Full time exempt, salary $41,600. This position is for 4 day work week Tuesday to Friday with occasional work on Mondays that are planned in advance. Job Duties: Inform the public about program activities, within agency guidelines. Advocate for and secure community services and resources for families. Supervise, train, and develop staff and volunteers, ensuring agency policies and procedures are followed. Obtain emergency services or repairs for facilities and equipment (or obtain assistance of Facilities Administrator). Facilitate communication between center staff and the Head Start Management Team to ensure program goals are met; including but not limited to scheduling monitoring visits and requesting support. Coordinate monthly center staff meetings. Use Reflective Practices with staff and parents. Maintain the confidentiality of information on each child and family. Monitor program quality by creating and/or implementing systems for observing practices, reviewing records, gathering feedback and documenting results. Monitor and maintain records ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance (i.e. center reports, meeting minutes). Monitor delivery of child and family services (Health, Nutrition, Family Development, Mental Health, Education, Transportation). Monitor timely, accurate record keeping and data entry into Child Plus and child files. Maintain full enrollment. Monitor recruitment activities and appropriate documentation. Ensure adequate waiting list in accordance with program procedures . Ensure attendance is documented and monitor attendance follow-up. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
