Central Sterile Coordinator and Surgical Technician Pay Rate: Pay is based on experience, base rate starts at $18.25 FTE Status: 0.9 FTE (72 hours in 2 weeks) Shift: Days, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm, may vary. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technologists. NBSTSA certification preferred, but not required. Previous surgical tech experience required. BLS certified. This position reports to the Director of Surgical Services and is responsible for: Surgical Technologist The surgical technologist provides care within the Mitchell County Regional Health Center according to AORN Standards of Care and Practice and is responsible for preparation of proper instruments for surgical procedures. The surgical tech is also responsible for decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment to multiple patient care areas. Central Sterile Coordinator The CS Coordinator participates and oversees the CS department and CS tech(s) who work in that area including continuing education and orientation. The coordinator will be responsible for equipment and supplies related to CS and Decon areas.
