Description: LIA is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee the development of LIA's workforce. This role will execute LIA's recruiting process by planning for, interviewing, and onboarding staff for headquarters operations and for contract requirements. LIA's HR Manager is responsible for management oversight of HR personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. In addition to recruiting, this role is accountable for staff retention, benefits coordination and management, records management (active and inactive employees), and employee handbook updates. LIA's HR Manager is responsible for all planning regarding development of the company's workforce, and the role is accountable for transforming all policies into executable plans and departmental procedures. Benefits Medical, Dental, 401K, Spot bonuses, AD&D/Life Insurance, PTO, Mental Health PTO, Birthday PTO, HUBZone Incentive Program Responsibilities: Selects qualified people; evaluate subordinates' performance; strengths, and development needs; provides constructive feedback, and takes appropriate action with marginal performers Maintains up-to-date knowledge of techniques and skills to develop new methods for policies and procedures, programs, and reports. Conduct quarterly follow-ups with employees to discuss any employee issues/concerns and/or any contract issues. Expresses ideas and information effectively, both verbally and in writing; shares information appropriately Helps others; and takes responsibility to get things done; seeks new challenges, self-development, and learning opportunities; recognizes opportunities and takes actions to achieve desired results. Analyze, develop, and execute a recruiting strategy plan that decrease the recruiting time from 45-60 days to 30 days. Create and submit monthly reports to assist with predicting better workforce needs, and employment data, analyzing historical trends, and better HR patterns Track, tracking, monitor, and/or manage all audits and assessments related to 5500, insurances (worker comps etc..), DOL audits, DHS, audits, unions, etc. Timely respond to any/or inquiries within 24-48 hours of receipt related to taxes, payroll, HR issues, audits, assessments, etc. Review comprehensive benchmark data within Isolved in regard to recruiting, skill gaps, employee experience, turnover rate. Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs by using the company's internal platform, Isolved. Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Serve as a liaison between an organization's management and its employees Participates in developing job descriptions as it relates to HQ, proposals, and contracts. Manages the hiring and hiring process. Manage, produce, and write employee handbook and/or related federal or stated requirements. Maintains the benefits and pay schedule. Maintains consistent legal compliance while managing human resources. Performs administrative duties, if needed. Develop and implement HR policy and initiatives aligned with LIA's overall business strategy Maintain positive management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other personnel issues Accountable to LIA leadership for oversight and execution of the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital. Develops and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization Nurture a positive working environment by assisting with moral booster activities. Oversees and manages a performance appraisal system that drives high performance. Maintain pay plan and benefits program Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Skills: SHRM certification is strongly desired. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and integrity. A minimum of five (5) years of proven experience as an HR Manager or other HR leadership role, to include recruiting experience. People oriented and results driven. Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics. Knowledge of HR systems and databases. Ability to develop strategy along with leadership skills. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to life 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
