Description:
Entry-level position to perform general lumber mill responsibilities including stacking lumber, driving a forklift, moving inventory, and verifying inventory counts. Principle/Main Responsibilities and Tasks: Prior experience in a mill and/or wood production work environment Operate machine or basic equipment Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures & regulations Perform basic maintenance to equipment (hydraulic fluid, etc.) Make sure all electrical panels are shut off before working on equipment Other duties as assigned Minimal Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Prior experience in a mill and/or wood production work environment preferred May include climbing, pushing, kneeling and lifting heavy items Must be able to lift dimensional lumber to 50 lbs. Must be able to operate a forklift
