We are currently hiring Stainless Steel Structural Welders using the Flux-Core process. This is TURNAROUND work and requires consistent travel (paid for by IAFD) throughout the US. Please do not apply if you cannot travel - NO Exceptions Qualifications: Must have 3 years of verifiable experience as a Welder in Industrial Construction . Perform and pass visual 2G, 3G, and 4G weld test (bend test will also be performed) . (Welding 1/2" Carbon Plate Flux Core with 309 wire) Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years. Must be at least 21 years old . High School Diploma/GED Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Responsibilities: Must be available to travel continuously throughout the US to jobs ( IAFD pays for travel ) Weld along vertical, horizontal, or overhead weld lines. Examines weld for bead size and other specifications. Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces. Able to read and work from blueprints/drawings and follow instructions. Proper PPE must be worn at all times & adhere to all safety rules/regulations. The ability to accurately read a measuring tape, follow written/verbal instructions, and communicate with coworkers positively. Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors. Working Conditions: Inside Power Plants/Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking constantly. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 100 lbs.
