CFD Research is seeking qualified candidates to oversee, evaluate, and support the documentation, verification & validation, and authorization processes necessary to assure that government systems meet the cybersecurity standards and requirements. Responsibilities: Candidates must have proven experience providing cybersecurity support such as: Utilizing best practices and methods for monitoring, auditing, and measuring risk, compliance, and assurance efforts. Ensuring risk, compliance, and assurance efforts conform to DoD security, resilience, and dependability requirements at the software application, system, and network levels. Documenting preliminary or residual security risks for system operation & manage and approve Accreditation Packages. Verifying that the software application/network/system accreditation and assurance documentation is current. Monitoring and evaluating a system's compliance with DoD security, resilience, and dependability requirements including performing validation steps, comparing actual results with expected results and analyze the differences to identify impact and risks. Provide an accurate technical evaluation of the software application, system, or network, documenting the security posture, capabilities, and vulnerabilities against applicable NIST controls. Recommending new or revised security measures and countermeasures based on risk analysis then verifying that security postures are implemented as stated, document deviations, and recommend required actions to correct those deviations. Basic Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a STEM or engineering field. Must also comply with the experience, training, and certification requirements IAW DoD 8570.01 IAT level II or IAM level III Will need to be a self-starter, be detail-oriented, have strong written and verbal communication skills and work well with others. Demonstrate strong teamwork skills suitable to the work environment Adapt quickly and continue learning a wide variety of technologies This position requires e xperience applying knowledge and skills to two or more of the following areas: Technical proficiency in vulnerability assessment and project management Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology, such as server and workstation networking and network configuration. Have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity with the ability to develop and maintain a Risk Management Framework authorization package. Familiarity with DoD STIG requirements, RMF, IAVMs Familiarity with Cybersecurity assessment tools (ACAS, Nessus, SCC, STIG Viewer) Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Operating Systems Other Qualifications: Candidates should have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment supporting a diverse customer base comprised of program managers, engineers, analysts, specialists, and technicians. Some travel may be required. Security Requirements Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance. Strongly Preferred: Experience with Linux and other open-source operating systems as well as various Microsoft environments is desired. Location: This individual will work onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
