EquiFit is a progressive equestrian product company with a focus on new materials and technologies. Our team is a collaborative group working together to meet the demands of performance horses. You will gain vital skills in design and manufacturing. Our customers are the horses, riders, trainers, managers and groomers. We are seeking a *LOCAL to Dedham, MA* Product Development Engineer. Responsibilities: Design and develop new products from information and/or concepts provided by EquiFit team, customers, and other outside sources. Design, build, evaluate and present prototype models and products. Communicate and document designs using technical writing, diagrams, and other means to create specifications and bill of materials. Travel to horse shows and barns evaluating prototypes and competitive products. Present new products, tooling, and material ideas for evaluation. Create and maintain relationships with outside vendors and internal departments to successfully bring products through all phases of development and onto the shelves ready to sell. Organize and document ideas and design parameters in a clear and concise manner in product history files. Work with production for best manufacturing techniques, jigs and tooling on products designed. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related field SolidWorks experience Demonstrated ability to bring an idea from prototype to production Effectively work on multiple simultaneous projects as part of a matrix product development team Demonstrate ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills: Graphical skills, including free-hand sketches and detailed instructional diagrams MS Office Some knowledge of horses and the equestrian market preferred
