Why you should join our team as a Financial Analyst: The Financial Analyst's primary role is to lead the Company's Financial Planning & Analysis, and is responsible for providing financial planning and analytic support for the overall enterprise and designated business areas including developing and managing budgets, forecasts, long-term planning, strategic modeling, and control field and market pricing dynamics. This position provides framework and analytics for monitoring and delivering financial targets as well as working with Operations to optimize analyzing their data and performance. In addition, the Financial Analyst will work in close association with the Accounting Department to assist in various analysis and reporting. Our Finance team is based in our Cottonwood Heights, UT corporate office. You will report to the VP of Finance. After initial training, you will be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days from home per week. This position has a competitive salary plus the opportunity to receive an additional company profit-sharing bonus every 6 months. Areas of responsibilities include: Overseeing activities such as developing strategies and long-range plans, directing investments, preparing financial reports and developing financial procedures, according to organizational objectives Responsible for annual budget process Forecasting revenue and expenditures and cash Interfacing with department heads to determine needs and allocate resources Monitoring financial reports to guard against losses Designing, monitoring, and maintaining authority on product prices, back-end programs, spiffs, discounts, etc. on the enterprise customer base Helping design appropriate projects and implement new procedures Preparing monthly analysis of revenue, cost of goods sold and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks Partnering with Product Management and Purchasing Team in determining financial impact due to product cost reductions, new product roll out, etc. and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results Analyzing financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets Identifying, investigating, and analyzing potential operational improvement Performing all other duties as assigned and required This position may require travel up to 10% This job may be a great fit for you if you have: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field required 1 to 2 years experience working in accounting or finance preferred but not required Knowledge of finance and accounting practices Strong mathematical and computer skills Effective written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies Ability to work in a team environment and to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Microsoft BI and Outlook) More information about Wilson Electronics: Who we are, our awards, and our mission and values.
