Delta Star has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor available to work any shift . Full Time, Salary Position Company Info Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America. This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and united substations. We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, systems ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications. Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance. Responsibilities & Duties or Main Responsibilities Meet production goals by managing labor and materials in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Ensures production procedures are followed to meet manufacturing schedules, standards of quality and maintains safe and clean work environment. Supervise a large group of employees involved in plant production operations. Work is generally of a technical nature with the ability to make decisions with the limits of general standards and practices. Some direct guidance received from the Production Manager Education & Experience College degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related fields desirable. OR +10 years of experience in Medium and Large Power Manufacturing industry (+30MVAs). Knowledge of manufacturing process and procedures. Bilingual, ability to communicate in English and Spanish desired. Experience in supervising employees in union manufacturing environment preferred. Previous work experience where attention to detail and personal accountability were critical to success. Demonstrated experience in solving complex technical issues in manufacturing. High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
