The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for well qualified CDL drivers to join us for a great 2023 Summer! We are looking for staff who have a genuine love for children, are kind and patient with children. Our goal is for each child to enjoy safe adventures, make new friends and have meaningful experiences every day. Come join our camp family for one of the most fun and rewarding summers of your life. General Job Duties: Transports children and staff to and from field trips in school buses, assists camp staff with administrative tasks related to the bus and supports counselors in providing supervision of 5-12 year olds. Must enjoy interacting with staff and children on trips, have high energy level and be flexible with work schedule each week. Requirement/Certifications: must provide proof of current CDL (Commercial Driver's License), Medical Certificate, CPR/First Aid certification (we can assist with this if needed). In addition, you'll need to pass our Motor Vehicle Report and CBI/fingerprint Screenings. Salary range $21-25/per hour while driving. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. Staff working more than 10 hours per week may sign up their children or siblings for free YMCA camp too! More about this in the benefits section. As a driver, you'll serve 20 to 40 hours a week between 7:00a to 6:00p M-F. No evenings. No weekends (except one required weekend training May 20-21st)! This position is seasonal, part time or full time between May 30th -Aug 11th. Additional opportunities are available for those interested in serving as day camp staff or in other YMCA positions. All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
