The campus enjoys incredible vistas of the Smoky Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau with views that span across several states. The region is widely known as an outdoor recreational paradise for campers, boaters, cyclists, climbers, cavers and hikers, all the while being conveniently located within two hours of Atlanta, Nashville and Knoxville. Opportunity: We are currently seeking a Constituent Relations Coordinator who will facilitate all the necessary communications between churches, parents and families, and all other constituents of Covenant College. This facilitation will involve updating database records, maintaining website information, overseeing mailing and marketing needs, and executing all events in the calendar year. This position will support the work of the Director of Constituent Relations and work towards the goals for the Director role: The Director's role is critical in continuing the college's church relations program and stewarding the institutional voice within the churches of the PCA. Essential Functions: Coordinate mailings and all communication for church relations, family relations, and The 1955 with the development, marketing, and alumni offices. Oversee the execution of the necessary marketing pieces for constituent relations and plan the fiscal year communication calendar. Manage the timeline of events for church relations, particularly overseeing the execution of exhibiting at the General Assembly in June on behalf of the college. Support the Director's work cultivating key relationships between Covenant and the PCA. Communicate with churches all necessary information and reminders regarding the Church Scholarship Promise program and manage internal communication between Development, Admissions, Financial Aid, and any other offices that may need to be involved. Facilitate communication between the constituents of the College and the Director, including setting appointments, coordinating events, and booking travel plans. Serve as the primary contact for churches and other constituents that the DCR is visiting, hosting, etc. Work with the DCR in operating and maintaining The 1955. Oversee the communication with and facilitation of the Parents Council and Family Weekend. Support the DCR by scheduling meetings and managing marketing and mailing needs. Perform data entry in the system and maintain excellent records. Supplement needs in the alumni office, particularly during homecoming. Competencies: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and build relationships among a wide variety of constituents (both internal and external). Strong initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor' s or Associate d egree required. Minimum three (3) years of related work experience. Proficiency with Google Apps or Microsoft Office Suite. Preferences: Graduate of Covenant College Member of a PCA church Additional Eligibility Requirements: An acceptance of and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. An understanding of the mission and purpose of Covenant College. A strong understanding of and commitment to Scripture, the Westminster Standards, and the doctrinal standards of the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) denomination. Must be able to assent to Covenant College's Staff Commitments Physical Work Environment: This role is expected to be performed on campus unless otherwise directed or arranged for and operates primarily in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and other job-related technology. There is a mix of standing and sitting for this particular role. Classified as light, occasional lifting or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) up to 10 lbs. Expressing or exchanging ideas and conversation by means of the spoken word; needs to be fluent and conversant using the English language. Generally, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Minimal travel required.
