Manager - Supply Chain Location: Columbus, MT - On Site US PGM Operations Position Summary: At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Manager Supply Chain will lead the supply chain team and direct the overall supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, contract management, managing inventory, warehousing and accounts payable function. The Manager Supply Chain's primary duties are: Supervisory: Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department. Provide positive leadership and inspire team members towards high performance. Manage performance and development of reporting staff, ensuring that each team members understand expectations and current level of performance. Duties/Responsibilities: Provide the leadership, management and vision required to ensure that the supply chain discipline has the proper operational controls, administrative, procedures, people and systems in place to effectively meet the strategic objectives of the organization and to ensure financial strength. Provide strategic direction for the supply chain discipline to meet short to medium term business requirements. Manage the entire supply chain (mines, inbound, internal and outbound logistics) and supply chain contracts as per strategic plans. Provide leadership in the processes and management of a diverse team relating to personnel development, training, talent management, motivation, company image, employee engagement, performance contracting, objective setting, and measurement thereof. Prepare, approve and implement the annual budget for the company regarding the Supply Chain function. Ensure inventories of all commodities, mining equipment and consumables as per budget norms for uninterrupted production. Develops acquisition strategies and contract practices, and manages contract creation, negotiation, execution, and compliance Manage the development, design, implementation and maintenance of procurement processes by ensuring SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance monitoring and the introduction of performance-based contracts with preferred suppliers. Develop an audit plan and implement audit findings resulting in no unresolved audit findings. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, controls, legislated regulations, internal policies, work standards and governance requirements. Lead the development and maintenance of strategic relationships with stakeholders across the organization and externally at all levels and cross-functionally to meet business objectives. Strong understanding of HSE and Environmental requirements and resources within area of responsibility. Willingness to take action when substandard behavior or conditions are identified. Qualifications and Skills: Perform and plan all work with a safety focus in mind and gain a solid understanding of the company Safety culture. Ability to lead by example Thought leader, mentor, and coach for procurement and business leaders on supply chain challenges. Strong understanding of relevant company policies, audit practices and regulatory requirements around procurement activities Proven ability to create and lead an effective team. Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously in an interruptive environment while working under pressure to meet deadlines. Highly capable of data analysis and presentation Able to recognize and manage significant issues that have potential to cause harm to the business or individuals Ability to recognize the perspectives of all participants and lead accordingly. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills . Able to communicate succinctly and powerfully with site and segment Senior Management; strong oral and written communication skills Thorough understanding of compliance parameters for SOX and other audit requirements. System and technical knowledge (Microsoft Office, Share Point, ERP systems) a must. Demonstrable experience and skills include: communicating effectively and building trust with employee groups at all levels of the organization gathering and analyzing information and making recommendations in support of organizational goals handling and maintaining sensitive and confidential information responding appropriately and positively to evolving situations and needs thoughtfully resolving conflict and escalated issues with a positive attitude Degree in business operations, supply chain management and or finance. MBA would be advantageous. At least 7 years' experience in a related role, of which 5 years should have been at a senior management level or experience in a functional/specialist area. Experience in a Mining environment would be advantageous.
