Fixed Equipment Manager

The Fixed Equipment Manager will promote and support our field operations on fixed plant equipment performance, services, and maintenance, with a goal of improving and maintaining plant availability. This role will cover all US Aggregates locations across the state of Indiana. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for creating, managing, monitoring, and optimizing a Maintenance Program for Fixed Equipment Evaluate, plan, and implement a schedule to optimize routine and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks Management of predictive maintenance programs (PM) i.e. vibration, infrared etc. Prepares cost avoidance reports for predictive maintenance findings Coordination of contract PM services as needed Develops predictive and preventive maintenance tasks for newly installed equipment Partner with Operations team to develop mid to long-term maintenance plans for major plant equipment Establishes and manages the lubrication and oil analysis programs for all systems. Performs Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures Develops solutions (engineering, procedural etc.) to reduce repetitive failures for fixed plant equipment and systems that may adversely affect plant availability and operation Generate RCA reports that recommend solutions to resolve failures and address future preventive, predictive practices Update preventative and predictive maintenance procedures resulting from RCA as necessary Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure and analyze the plant reliability processes Develop and/or enhance the Bad Actor process Perform data analysis on production downtime data Facilitates team approach in determining solutions to Bad Actors Document and share best practices, outlining a plan of action and resolution for Bad Actors Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel Assist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machinery Observe mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning or identify causes of problem Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product Collaborate with Engineering team on CAPEX justification to address reliability related expenditures Provides oversight of projects and contract labor during plant annual maintenance periods Promote and follow all company/plant safety guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent Two years of vocational training preferred At least 3 years' experience in related process industries with experience in the support of maintenance work processes, inventory, failure analysis, reliability, continuous improvement, and CMMS preferred Five to ten years of supervisory/management experience maintaining and repairing large, fixed equipment such as crushers, screens and feeders preferred Experience with plant reliability programs required Experience with lifting and rigging of equipment preferred Prior maintenance experience desired; knowledge of industrial processes Computer skills; Microsoft Suite Experience with MS Project preferred Knowledge of aggregate mining operations and equipment Knowledge of Aggflow The ability to partner with appropriate levels within the organization Ability to travel - day travel and overnight, expected to be 40% Strong relationship skills and commitment to continuous improvement Organized with strong attention to detail Experience maintaining positive relationships and operating with a high level of integrity Independent, confident thinker with a high comfort level with ambiguity Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
