IF YOU CLEAN IT...THEY WILL MAKE IT DIRTY AGAIN... THE OPPORTUNITY: This position is responsible for daily cleaning of our headquarters . The Custodian will clean and maintain assigned areas to WOW Our Customers, by meeting employee and visitor satisfaction. The purpose of the custodial staff is to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and the public: just another way we contribute to our value of WOW Our Customers. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per work Essential Job Functions | Keep our World Headquarters in Tip-Top Shape Maintain a clean and orderly environment, with public areas being a priority Polish, scrub, strip, seal, wax, buff, as needed Sweep and scrub floors Vacuum carpets; shampoo rugs Dust furniture and equipment from high and low surfaces Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport to designated areas Clean bathrooms and restock supplies Wash facility windows If there is an unexpected mess, such as a large spill, the custodian is called to clean it up. Exposure to a variety of cleaning chemicals and unpleasant elements at times Assist with snow removal, as requested Follows safety practices; identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards Other duties as assigned Qualifications | Desire to Keep Things Looking So Fresh & So Clean Clean High school education desirable, but not required Pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 lbs. when needed Must be self-sufficient and able to work independently Must be flexible and able to multi-task Must be reliable and responsible Strong time management skills Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours a day Previous custodian experience preferred, but not required Cognitive or Mental Requirements of the Job: Employee must be able to see and hear, read and write. Requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, judgment, reading, speaking, following direction, handling multiple priorities, reasoning. Physical Demands: NEVER: Sit, Climb, Crawl, Lift Over 50 lbs., Carry Over 50 lbs.OCCASIONALLY: Lift 25-50 lbs., Carry 10-24 lbs., Carry 25-50 lbs.
