Through its programming, CCO assists individuals and families who must leave their homelands due to the fear of persecution based on reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, and/or political opinion. Who You Are: Th e Ukraine Response Resource Coordinator's primary responsibility is supporting the Refugee Services/Ukraine Response Case Managers. These face-to-face client interactions include client intakes and meetings, enrollment in services, transportation, administrative activities, and maintaining case files. The Ukraine Response Resource Coordinator will perform most of their work either in the office, in the community, or in-home visits with clients. This position requires an ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include some evenings and weekends a nd will include travel throughout the Portland tri-county area. What You Will Work On: Provide assistance in the case management and services to newly and recently arrived Ukrainian cases. Assist Case Managers in providing transportation and accompanying Ukrainian clients to appointments. Assist in enrolling clients in public assistance programs such as food stamps, medical, and cash. Support Case Managers in resource and referrals like navigating rental assistance. Participate in client meetings with Ukraine Response Case Managers and provide unofficial interpretation and translation as needed. What You Bring: Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences Associate degree (2-year program) or equivalent lived and/or worked experience required. Major course work in social services, human services, or related field preferred. Experience Requirements/Preferences 6 months prior experience of working with refugees and immigrant communities is strongly preferred. Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing English required. In addition, Ukrainian required. Demonstrated proficiency in Russian is desired. Experience working with interpreters preferred. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. VACCINATION POLICY Catholic Charities of Oregon requires all employees to confirm they are fully vaccinated, or in the process of receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.
