From solid to gas-burning systems, we do it all. Our metal fabrication and masonry abilities allow us to tailor a fireplace that reflects our customers' style. We also repair leaky chimneys, rebuild, and reline masonry fireplaces, and service gas appliances. Our customers know they can rely on us for quality.In order to maintain our exceptional service, we keep our knowledge of the industry current and constant. Along with yearly training events, we educate our employees individually to encourage growth and success. Our employees are treated with respect, and they know their input is valued because of our owner's open-door policy. We have five vehicles plus trailers that need constant upkeep. Our trucks drive a lot of miles and need to be regularly maintained. Our grounds need to be upkept and organized. This will entail building shelves for the organization. This is a self-starter position, with little direction. As a Vehicle/Building maintenance Technician you come to work (on time) ready to jump in and get the day started. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you are able to excel with minimal direction. With great attention to detail, you ensure vehicles, trailers, and building /grounds are accurate and up to our standards. You take pride in knowing your hard work will get noticed!QUALIFICATIONS FOR A Vehicle/ Building Maintenance Technician· Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems· Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity· Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building· Good mathematical skills (Addition, Subtraction, Division· Ability to read a tape measure/speed square· An eye for excellent quality· Groundskeeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance· Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner· Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked· Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building, and vehicles.· Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.· Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.· Complies with all company safety regulations.· Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.· Reports any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.· Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.· Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.· Follow written and verbal instructions from the manager· Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.· Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.· Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and tire rotations.· Repairs mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replaces parts and components to certain degree, such as brakes, rotors, regular wear, and tear upkeep on vehicle. Major repairs to be taken to mechanic.· Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.· Compiles vehicle records by recording service and repairs.· Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and preventive maintenance.· Contains costs by keeping track of warranties and evaluating service and parts options.· Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.· Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.· DEPENDABLE/RELIABLE· Quick thinker/Problem solver· Team-oriented and self-motivated· Willing to learn new things while on the job· Ability to stand for extended periods of time· Great listening skillsExperience Vehicle/ Building Maintenace is required.Can you keep up in a fast-paced working environment?
