Senior Software Engineer- Systems Architect

CFD Research is seeking an experienced Software Architect with 5-8 years of experience in cloud, desktop, and mobile application development. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software architecture principles and experience working with programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for government and consumer clients. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to develop software solutions that meet customer needs. • Design and develop software architecture for cloud, desktop, and mobile deployment. • Define technical requirements and develop implementation plans to ensure the successful delivery of software solutions. • Develop and maintain software design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintainability. • Review and evaluate new and existing software technologies to determine their potential impact on the business. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams to ensure best practices are followed. • Write and execute unit tests and/or set up automated test suites. • Work with quality assurance teams to develop testing strategies and ensure high-quality software delivery. • Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies, and make recommendations to the team on best practices. • Collaborate with other software architects to ensure interoperability of software systems. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • Experience using Atlassian tool suite or similar software management tools. • Experience delivering software to government or similar customers. Location: Hybrid, mostly Remote.
