Summary: SouthWood is a custom sign fabrication company and is seeking a talented spray painter with a great attitude and work ethic. Come join us as our business grows, and we buildout are already amazing team. Applicant must have experience painting metal fabricated items or automotive spray paint experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Paint metals and various plastics with paint systems (automotive type paints). Applies masking over parts and areas that are not to be coated, fills cavities. Able to work quick with great quality. Selects and mixes paint to produce desired color, using Paint Matching Database software. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent and maintains work area. Read, analyze and interpret architectural shop drawings. Other duties as may be assigned. Bonus Experience: Ability to layer paint to create faux finishes (rust, weathered look...etc.) Competency: Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Able to read and interpret written information and blueprints / shop drawings. Demonstrates attention to detail. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Is consistently at work and on time. Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. Volunteers readily and seeks increased responsibilities. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Completes work in timely manner and strives to increase productivity. Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly. Continually looks for ways to improve processes and decrease costs. Approaches company commitments from a team perspective. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.' Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience. HoursStandard: Mon - Thursday @ 5:30A.M. - 4:00P.M. Overtime required by SWC : Currently, production demands Fridays 5:30 - 11:30, 2, or 4 PM (subject to change per demand - Saturdays maybe required in the future)
