Special Medical Prevention Services are intended to assess the safety and wellbeing of children in high-risk families citywide in an effort to prevent foster care placement. They are intended for families with a child and/or parent with special medical needs or a child in need of early permanency planning due to a parent's illness. The focus of this model is to create independence, help families acquire appropriate skills which promote safety for the children and empower families to be self-sufficient. The unit aims to improve safety and reduce repeat maltreatment. The Supervisor is expected to assume the overall responsibility for supervision of case planning and other supportive staff to ensure appropriate and timely intervention with all families. The Supervisor will exhibit a leadership style that is mission and vision oriented, goal driven and strategic. Requirements :- LMSW or MSW with the intent to obtain a license. -At minimum 1 year of managerial experience in an ACS contracted prevention program. Counseling experience with children and families. -Working knowledge of ACS Prevention Standards and Policies, as well as CONNECTIONS and PROMIS data systems.-Flexibility to meet changing needs and demands-Fluency in Spanish and English a Plus CMCS offers an excellent, comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plan, generous paid time off, in-service training, flexible work schedules, and competitive salaries.
