Service Technician

Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Troubleshoot and repair fueling systems. Analyze electronic and mechanical issues and make correct repairs. Install new equipment following repair, test operation, and make adjustments as necessary. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Reassemble equipment following repair, test operation, and make adjustments as necessary. Test and replace electrical components and wiring. Repair or replace defective parts. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Perform other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record is required. 30% of travel is required. Certifications and industry-specific certifications are preferred. Gilbarco experience is a plus. SKILLS & ABILITIES Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to handle stress and to operate under pressure. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hard hat, safety vest & glasses when necessary. Must be able to pass DOT driving requirements. Must be able to pass a physical. Must be able to lift 100+ lbs. Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of personal computers and smartphones. EDUCATION High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required. BENEFITS Illinois Oil Marketing Equipment is employee-owned.
