Summer camp is fun; that's a fact. As a staff member at our YMCA of Northern Colorado Day Camps you'll participate in games, crafts, archery, nature discovery, teambuilding, and so much more! You'll help to create a positive environment where staff and campers enjoy safe adventures, make new friends and have amazing experiences every day. We are looking for people who are passionate about fun, the outdoors and day camp. Come join our camp family for one of the most enjoyable and rewarding summers of your life. Qualifications 16 years or older (additional age requirements apply to higher-level positions) Provide documentation of experience working directly with school-age children in such areas as Sunday school, Scouts, or sports. 460 hours+ preferred. 910+ hours required for director-level staff. Current certification in CPR and First Aid. (We can help you complete this!) Work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents and colleagues and be committed to high quality programming. Salary range $14-22/hr based on experience, qualifications, and availability. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English. Staff working more than 10 hours per week may sign up their children or siblings for free YMCA camp too! More about this in the benefits section. Shifts vary by site between 7:00am and 6:00pm M-F. Part time and full time summer seasonal positions are available up to 40 hours a week. No weekends (except one required weekend training May 20-21)! This position is seasonal May 30th through Aug 11th. All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
