ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE HOUSING SPECIALIST II The Housing Specialist II position coordinates the sale of our affordable housing inventory to program participants. Specifically, this highly collaborative position will work with housing partners and program participants to educate them about the purchase process, prepare closing documents, and coordinate transaction details with title companies. This position provides program support through reviewing and distributing loan statements, performing financial calculations, filing property tax exemptions, conducting due diligence research, electronically recording real estate documents, performing UCC and business entity filings and assisting with departmental metric tracking. This job provides a unique experience to individuals wanting to help serve Utah's low- to moderate- income population through Utah Housing's affordable housing programs. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR HOUSING SPECIALIST II POSITION Four year degree preferred: business or finance Minimum of two years of full time paid professional employment in an associated field Knowledge of real estate concepts, loan processing or title work Capable of coordinating efforts and collaborating with a variety of individuals Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Proven communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency in providing information and instruction related to complex issues Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet department deadlines Demonstrated proficiency in accessing information and providing applicable solutions Ability to work both independently and as part of a team This starting pay for this position is $43,000 - $55,000/yr , depending on education and experience.
