Primary responsibilities for the Mortgage Banker include soliciting, generating, originating and closing of real estate loans for a community bank. These loans will primarily be made for the sale to the secondary market. The Mortgage Banker interviews loan applicants, processes loan underwriting and handles phone inquires regarding home loans. Once the loan has been approved, the lender will oversee the loan closing process.This position will also help cross-sell bank products and generate new business opportunities for the bank This person will be responsible to make business development calls, concentrating on the real estate market, with the goal of generating additional volume for the bank.
