Position Summary: Responsible for financial planning, forecasting, financial closing, cost controlling, deal assessment, and Operating Expense (OPEX) and Capital Expense (CAPEX) controlling; ensuring compliance with Key Financial Controls and all other financial policy and government regulations; and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to management. Primary Responsibilities: Manages Financial Planning staff; coordinates activities with CFO, Director - Treasury & Accounting, and business unit controllers. Responsible for developing operating and financial guidance and planning to enable the Company to achieve its strategic plans. Facilitates detailed annual P&L planning for the Company, including CAPEX and OPEX budgets, for review the CFO and CEO. Prepares and presents quarterly forecast updates as well as Estimates at Completion and ad hoc forecasts. Ensures all financial data adheres to current laws and regulations. Performs regular analysis to ensure compliance with Key Financial Controls and proper reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Profit & Loss (P&L) and Cash Flow statements. Oversees Internal Controls Self-Assessment (ICSA) and assesses & analyses how each business units' self-assessment responses impact Airbus U.S.'s overall key control compliance; coordinates ICSA responses & follow-up for Airbus U.S. and Finance Response. Supports preparation of materials for Board of Directors and its committees Prepares financial information and execute financial closing of the Business on a monthly basis. Coordinates Risk Management Committees and offer approvals. Approves or rejects offers and expenses within established delegation authority. Supports pricing analysis and prepares financial aspects of Service Level Agreements; provides oversight of proper execution thereof. Supports ad hoc department projects (e.g., financial system integration). Represents Airbus U.S. Finance on inter-company teams and committees (including activities delegated by CFO, and cross-company indirect procurement Calls for Tender). Education: Bachelor's Degree required, with Finance/Accounting preferred Master's Degree preferred Experience: 10+ years of work experience, out of which at least 5 years in Finance Required Strong financial background required Solid understanding of accounting principles Experience dealing with Executive Management required Experience in aerospace and defense industry preferred Experience in government contracting preferred Experience in complex business environment Experience in fast-paced environment Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Financial analysis required Ability to work in high pressure environments Ability to operate under tight deadlines Ability to work in team environment required Ability to work in multicultural environments Detail-oriented Strong analytical and organizational skills Self-motivated and self-directed Strategic thinking, demonstrating understanding of organization's strengths and weaknesses Demonstrate resourcefulness in setting priorities Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Excellent communication skills Excellent written skills Ability to present financial data to Executive Management Technical Systems Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) Cognos Deltek CostPoint Travel Required: 5-10% Domestic and International Eligibility: US Citizenship, Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) Physical Requirements: Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents. Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds including safety warnings or alarms. Speaking: able to speak in conversations, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment. Carrying: able to carry documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 10lbs. Lifting: able to lift documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 10lbs. Pushing / Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves Standing: able to stand for long periods of time. Walking: able to walk through office and outside areas including uneven surfaces.
