Job Overview: We are looking for an Expedited Parts Delivery Driver to join our Dedicated team. The Expedited Parts Delivery Driver will drive a ton pickup truck, or similar vehicle on a daily basis to various destinations between plant facilities making pickups and deliveries of critical parts. Drivers will manage paperwork as required by, Epes and Customer. Qualifications: Ability to work independently, take initiative and be a self-starter. Ability to plan and organize workload; flexibility to handle pressure and work with interruptions and meet deadlines; attention to details Ability to handle multiple priorities Willingness to learn and accept responsibility No conviction of felonies, serious crimes, or have charges pending. However, a conviction is not an automatic disqualification of employment. Responsibilities: Conducts "Pre-Trip" and "Post Trip" of equipment to ensure safety and reliability of the assigned delivery vehicle Handles shipping documents and obtains appropriate signatures and notations at shippers and/or consignees to ensure that documentation will meet requirements of Epes billing processes, and those of the customer. Drives pickup type delivery vehicle day and/or night in a variety of climates and traffic conditions - Drives on a variety of types of roads- including, but not limited to rural roads, roads in congested areas in cities and interstate roads. Backs equipment into dock areas. Stops and fuels equipment at approved fueling locations Follows all additional procedures and processes for the specific account. Drives in accordance with regulations of Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies, as governed by a Non-CDL driver regulations, state and local laws and ordinances. Maintains accurate duty record as required by EPES Transport, LLC and the assigned customer. Demonstrates support to the Epes Transport System, LLC Quality Management System and its objectives, as applicable. Other duties as may be assigned.
