Assist in Teaching Preschool Classroom The Assistant Teacher assists the teacher ensuring that the classroom is in compliance with Head Start performance standards. Preferred CDA credential preschool endorsement; enrolled in a program leading to an AA or BA degree in early childhood education or related field Alternate enrolled in a CDA credential preschool endorsement program to be completed within 2 years of employmentGood oral and written communication skillsWillingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within the time frame established by the programAbility to lift and carry a fifty-pound child.Must enroll/be enrolled in CDA or Early Childhood program within 6 months of employment. New Hires will receive a total of $1,000 in 3 increments as follows: $250 after 4 weeks of employment; $250 after a successful three-month evaluation and $500 after a successful six-month probation period.
