Job Title: Engineer Intern (Mining, Civil/Structural, or Mechanical) Department: Operations Reports to: Project Manager ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Human Resources Ensure that company policies and guidelines are understood and followed by you and all your crew members. Specific policies and guidelines include, but are not limited to the following: General Conduct Attendance Harassment Drug and Alcohol Awareness Valuing Diversity and Inclusion Health & Safety Work as an active proponent supporting all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation. Proactively recognize and correct as needed any perceived health and safety hazards or infractions and report same to management. Client Relations Monitor and report on project performance according to client and Cementation requirements. Address client concerns in a timely manner working diligently to answer their questions and/or solve problems/issues. Functional Responsibilities Complete detailed engineering for mining projects, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies and providing mining input on proposals/bids. Design engineering related to mine planning. Report writing and analysis. Engineering project management including weekly reporting, design change notice management and capital estimate management. Assisting the contracting and Business Development groups with tendering work and estimation. Site assistance as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience High School Diploma, Technical degree, or equivalent preferred Enrolled or interest in Mining or Mining Construction. Certificate(s), License(s), Registration(s) MSHA Underground Certification preferred Computer Applications Used Basic understanding and experience with computers is preferred Experience utilizing SAP programs for work orders is preferred Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Decision making and prioritization skills Planning and organizing skills Possess problem solving, critical thinking skills General knowledge of applicable mining regulations, safety codes and acts Supporting a Diverse & Inclusive Workforce At Cementation Americas, we believe in diversity and inclusion.
