The team at Woodfords' Family Services is looking to welcome a Direct Support Professional to our Expeditions Adult Day Program here in Westbrook, ME! Who We Are! Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization that's been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years! Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine. Position Summary As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our Expeditions Program, you serve an important role in helping adult consumers with developmental and intellectual disabilities lead fulfilling and independent lives! Through a variety of community and center-based activities, DSPs integrate therapeutic and evidence-based practices that promote and encourage achievement of individualized goals and objectives. Key responsibilities of the DSP: Support in Self-care Tasks Health & Safety-monitoring Community Integration & Advocacy Meal Planning and Preparation Promoting Freedom of Choice & Decision Making Schedule & Compensation This is a year-round, part-time, hourly position, with a Monday-Friday schedule. $16.00 - $17.00 per hour PLUS $750 Sign-on bonus eligible at 6 months! Shifts available include 8:30am - 1:30pm OR 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Not a DSP? We'll help get you there!
