After School Program Assistant Part-time, non-exempt Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00 / hour DOE Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm or 2:30pm - 6:00pm Start date: ASAP After School Program Assistant: The main purpose of this position is to support the after school program manager in providing a high quality experience for students and families and meeting best practice standards in relation to all aspects of the After School program. Primary Responsibilities: Assist Program Manager in day-to-day activities and other duties as needed; Supervise students as they participate in activities such as crafts, circle games, sports, board games, etc.; Oversee students during general group activities and playtime; Participate in preparing the environment for students, including cleaning duties before and after each session; Represent the after school program with a professional image at all times; Engage appropriately with parents, including greeting upon arrival and communicating about students and the program; Maintain confidentiality at all times; Create and maintain a safe learning environment for students. Qualifications: Experience working with elementary school children in an academic setting, or similar setting such as summer camp; Courteous and professional demeanor; Ability to follow directions and reason logically; Detail oriented and well-organized; ADA Requirements: Marin Primary & Middle School is in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and does not discriminate with regard to applicants or employees with disabilities, and will make reasonable accommodation when necessary.
