Sr. Accounts Payable Associate

Description:
Our client is looking for a Sr. AP Associate to join their team. As our ideal candidate you will: Process invoices involving purchase orders, credit memos, credit card transactions, pre-approved check requests, recurring vouchers and employee expense reports in various systems with attention to detail, reasonableness, appropriate authorization in accordance with internal policy. Review and reconcile vendor statements. Coordinate with vendors, managers and purchasing to identify and resolve issues preventing the processing of invoices associated with a purchase order or non-purchase order invoices. Responsible for day to day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner to include processing of and scheduling checks, ACH, Wires and recording direct debit bank transactions Responsible for all tasks related to P-Card program, including: maintaining user database, resolving user access and coding issues, process monthly expense reports in line with the month end close procedures. Manage, organize and prioritize electronic AP inbox and incoming mail as necessary. Review and complete tax exemption certificates as needed. Coordinate, compile and accurately prepare IRS form 1099. Coordinate with accounting staff to assure accurate accrual of estimated expenditures. Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years' experience with full cycle Accounts Payable Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment timely and accurately. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize. Strong time management skills as well as organizational skills Must have strong analytical abilities, high attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
