Scope of Job: The Loan Servicing Manager is responsible for managing the workflow and systems for the BankWest Loan Servicing Operation. This role is responsible to provide leadership in the transformation of the loan operations and servicing work from a manual work effort to an automated workflow. The accountability includes system administration, procedure establishment, meeting compliance and quality standards, expense management, and quality customer service. This position will provide collaborative direction and support to department employees and those across the Bank involved in the development and implementation of a redesigned Loan Servicing Department. Primary Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day management, staffing, administration, and related support staff for the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Ensure back-up processing positions are assigned and trained.Selects, trains, coaches, and develops subordinates in accordance with BankWest philosophies and policies; schedules and manages staffing ensuring work completion and delivery of related customer service requirements; ensures compliance with BankWest policies, procedures, and standards.Actively coach and mentor loan servicing employees; providing support to continue the performance of daily work requirements, while fostering inclusiveness as new processes are defined, ensuring the successful evolution from a manual to automated work environment.Responsible to identify, prioritize, and execute practical daily work solutions regarding technology and system features, functionality and/or process improvements for loan servicing operations.Identify initiatives and improvements in technology and workflow process to create and enhance operational efficiencies; working collaboratively within the department and with other areas across the Bank as solutions are defined and implemented. .Provide leadership and subject matter expertise as a member of Bank technology project teams impacting the loan servicing department.Develop and implement servicing procedures, reporting, and monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with Bank policy, regulatory, and legal requirements.Serve as the subject matter expert, on behalf of the servicing operation, through clear communication as technology and process changes are developed and implemented. Secondary Duties: Act in a leadership capacity, providing relevant expertise and counsel; actively supporting work and employee development activities of the Bank.Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.Maintains relationships with professional organizations, peers at other financial institutions, and/or Bank regulatory bodies to provide input and feedback on related areas of expertise to the Management Team.Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization. Requirements Education:A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.Experience:7 year's progressive management experience in related field.Experience in working as supervisor, mentor, and coach.Knowledge and ability to develop and administer operational processes and procedure required by Bank Policy and regulation.Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of loan documentation, compliance, policy adherence, and general bank operations.An in-depth knowledge of and experience in bank compliance, operations, lending, and other internal bank departments preferred.Knowledge and Special Skills:Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.Strong analytical skills and teamwork skills.Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.Knowledge of BankWest products and services.Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.BankWest is a "Sales Organization" and all employees are expected to participate directly or indirectly with increasing BankWest's presence in their markets as appropriate.
