Join our team and let RICO work to YOUR advantage!We are seeking a full time Mechanical Engineer. Responsibilities • Read and interpret engineering drawings.• Create engineering drawings using Solid Works software.• Research and design mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.• Calculate and apply tolerances, including geometric tolerances (per ASME Y14.5-2009), to engineering drawings to assure fit, form, and function of mechanical parts.• Communicate tolerance and material requirements to drafters.• Generate and maintain bills of materials on engineering drawings utilizing Solid Works software.• Utilize Excel spreadsheets for mechanical engineering calculations.• Provide feedback to Sales on customer problems and needs.• Estimate costs and provide feedback to management on less expensive but equally functional design options.• Conduct feasibility studies for new designs and concepts.• Assign drawing numbers according to company standards. Insert drawing numbers into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Skill Requirements Mathematics: Use mathematics to solve engineering problems. Reading Comprehension: Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Judgment and Decision Making: Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Time Management: Managing one's own time and the time of others. Writing: Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Speaking: Talking to others to convey information effectively.
