The Hermitage Club, a Private 501.c7 Social Club and Ski Area is currently seeking Part-Time Childcare Teacher aide to work in our Licensed Childcare Center during the 2023-2024 Winter Season. The Hermitage Club Childcare is a state licensed non-recurring Childcare Facility that operates weekends and Holiday periods December through April. The Hermitage Club prides itself in having a well-equipped high quality Childcare Center for its Members and Guests, located within our beautiful post and beam base lodge. Job Summary of Essential Functions The Childcare Teacher Aide is a flexible person who will assist with any classroom operations when needed. May also assist with individual children. Teaching Aide counts toward child to staff ratios and is assigned specific children. Job Tasks/Duties: May assist with the implementation of the program curriculum for winter seasonal programs May assist with activities of daily living for children (toileting, eating, sleeping) and helps record activities on brightwheel. Completes classroom cleaning and sanitization activities. Responsible for proactive planning and prepping during transitions or activities (may prep clothing and skis for outdoor time, may prep meals or snacks, may prep art activities or other centers, etc) May assist with individual children who have special needs, or need extra time for transitions or activities of daily living Facilitates and supervises developmentally appropriate activities, daily centers, and free play. May also assist with parent communication at the start and close of each day about their child's routine, meals, toileting, napping, activities , and development . Responsible for providing a safe learning environment for all children in the group and communicating any hazards or problems to the director Requirements : Minimum Age: 18 Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED, and completion of at least 3 credits in human development OR completion of the Fundamentals for Early Educators course within 12 months of hire date. Annual Professional Development Requirement: Minimum of 8 hours of Professional Development Activities Required to submit a record check authorization form prior to working with children . R equired to submit to fingerprinting prior to being left alone with children Must obtain pediatric first aid and CPR certification within 4 weeks of hire. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to remain calm in stressful, one-on-one situations with upset children. Must be able to stand for long periods, as well as kneel, sit, or otherwise interact with children at the child's eye level. Must be able to work outside in winter. Salary: $20 per hour The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
