The Sub's primary goal at Victory Academy is to demonstrate your love for children as well as provide a safe andnurturing environment for them and to encourage social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.Subs must follow the lesson plan in the sub folder that the teacher will leave for you. Subs must maintain apositive relationship with parents, children, and teachers, and always ensure the safety of all children whilemeeting the physical demands of the position.Duties and Responsibilities● Read all information in the sub folder for designated classroom prior to beginning your shift, whichmeans you must arrive 15 or so minutes ahead of time.● Attend to the children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers as theneed arises. Also work with children on self-helpskills aiming towards self-sufficiency skills.● Make note of any important information that is to be relayed to the teacher when she returns.● Meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Alsobreaking into small group learning to accommodate the varying ages of the children.● Follow the directions given in the sub folder and given forth by the other teachers in the classroom● Adhere to each classroom's daily schedule.● Clean classroom -vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing tables and surfaces.● Establish constructive and cooperative working relationships with other workersand maintain them over time for the good of the center.Qualifications● Clear background check required● The position requires the equivalent of a high school diploma.● Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool children or equivalent environment.● Successful completion of minimum childcare licensing standards is a plus but not mandatory forsubstitute position.Attendance and PunctualityAttendance is an essential job function. This position requires applicant to arrive on time for scheduled shiftwhich means set up and ready for kids' arrival.Physical RequirementsMust have the ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 25lbs. and perform duties requiring extensivemaneuverability and normal strength. Must also be prepared to run, jump and participate in physical activity.EquipmentDuties will require the regular use of mobile devices, computers and other electronics. Must have access totransportation.Compensation● $11-$14 per hour dependant on experience (if minimum childcare licensing standards are met hourlyrate offered will reflect as such)VICTORY ACADEMY IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
