The Company: Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare Center is proud to be a four-star, Medicare-certified, short-term rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Home located in El Cajon, California. Our organization is built on the premise that the most effective way to provide compassionate care is to: Maintain high medical integrity Foster a team spirit among staff Create friendly, beautiful surroundings for our residents and their visitors Pay: $40-$45 per hour Schedule: Full time Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities for Infection Control Nurse Ensuring mock surveys are done quarterly. Training staff on any new policy and procedures used in the clinics after approval by the governing body. Conducts surveillance prevention measures, staff education, analysis and management of data relative to infections. Monitors and evaluates quality and appropriateness of program activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Manages data collection/analysis/and maintenance for hospital wide infection control and clinical employee health programs. Provides support services for facility wide infection control. Demonstrate the ability to identify infectious disease processes. Survey and investigate epidemiologic events. Use evidence based practice and regulatory requirements to prevent and control the transmission of infectious agents. Maintain collaborative accountability for ensuring Employee Health and Safety is met. Qualifications: Utilize professional communication and management skills to develop policies, procedures and process improvement initiatives in compliance with the infection control plan Lead and participate in education and research initiatives prevent the transmission and prevention of infectious processes Comply with Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements Infection Control practices Bedside clinical practice and/or infection control practitioner experience within the past 3 years Certification in specialized practice area Preferred Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Medical specialties: Geriatrics Physical setting: Inpatient Long term care Nursing home Rehabilitation center Work Location: One location We are located at: 1391 E Madison Ave, El Cajon, CA 92021 Job Posted by ApplicantPro
