Job Title: CDL B or A Daytime Delivery Driver Reports to: On-site Dock Lead / Director of Operations Compensation: Full-Time / Non-Exempt / Hourly Schedule: Monday-Friday 6: 00 am - 2 :00 pm ( approx. out) The Daytime Delivery Driver safely and efficiently drops off and picks up orders and products from customers and vendors. This is a highly physical position that requires loading and unloading products from the truck utilizing carts and other equipment as needed. The ideal candidate for this role enjoys face-to-face interaction with customers and vendors as well as working with autonomy in a team-oriented organization. Duties & Responsibilities Safe, reliable transportation of CCF inventory to customers and from vendors using company vehicles. Diligently follow employee and food safety, training, and standard operating procedures. Load and unload inventory on and off trucks using a variety of manual and electric equipment . Utilize email, cell phone, and other job specific technology for open communication with team members and managers. Interact with customers and resolve issues with patience and a professional, respectful demeanor; collaborate with Fleet leaders when additional support/decision making is needed. Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations regarding transportation, fleet safety initiatives, and other standard operation procedures . Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist with other Fleet related duties as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Valid Michigan Commercial Drivers License B is required , CDL A with at least 6 months to 1 year of commercial driving preferred . Valid (or ability to obtain) DOT medical card , Ability to pass drug screening and any other DOT required testing Ability to maintain a safe driving record that meets DOT requirements Food-related experience a plus Ability to work in an environment that demands safe, accurate , and efficient work High a ttention to detail, accuracy, and personal pride in one's work Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Capability to use a computer and adapt to new technology Ability to safely operate Forklift and other warehouse equipment (training will be provided), previous experience preferred C ontinuous improvement mindset This is a safety-sensitive position PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, climb in and out of a truck, stand, stoop, and bend throughout a driving shift. Ability to be on one's feet throughout a warehouse shift, including standing, walking, stooping and bending. Pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, kneeling. Visual acuity to operate vehicles and heavy equipment. Ability to maneuver a manual pallet jack Work involves a variety of environments: office, warehouse, and outdoor weather. Exposure to a variety of temperatures in the warehouse, freezers, and coolers, and around building grounds is possible - personal protective equipment is provided.
