Company: TRISTAR Apply for position at: www.star3.com Location: US IN-Crane Employee Type: Full-Time/ Exempt Travel Required: Yes - less than 10% Relocation Accommodation: No Approximate Start Date: Upon Suitable Candidate Selection Posting Close: Upon Suitable Candidate Selection TRISTAR is seeking a Information Security Specialist II for our government customer in Crane, IN Position Description: Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems Performing technical work in RMF-compliant Information Assurance, including analyzing and solving Information Assurance (IA)-related technical problems Performing vulnerability/risk analyses of systems using expertise in relevant information systems security, systems and network administration Position Responsibilities: Generating and maintaining security documentation such as System Security Plans (SSP), Backup and Recovery Plans, Contingency Plans, and System Security Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to ensure compliance with government security policies and procedures Perform vulnerability / risk analyses of assigned information systems during all phases of the System Development Life Cycle; analyze vulnerability scan results and DISA STIGs; and generate and maintain system security POA&Ms Assess the performance of security controls within systems infrastructure; perform Annual Security Reviews and participate in the Continuous Monitoring process Evaluate potential security risks and make recommendations regarding corrective, mitigation, and recovery actions Position Requirements: Knowledge and experience working with Risk Management Framework, NIST 800-53 Experience with security controls Windows 10 and RedHat Enterprise Linux knowledge within Cybersecurity Experience writing technical and cyber related documentation Ability to communicate technical and security related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical people MUST be a US Citizen An active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one Education and Certifications: BS in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field preferred IAT level II certification with DoD 8570 (Example CompTIA Security Plus) or willingness to obtain prior to start date COVID Policy: TRISTAR does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
