YMCA Camp Thunderbird is seeking a pool manager to oversee facility operations and maintenance of our pool complex this summer! This position is $17.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. DUTIES of a Pool Manager The pool manager will be responsible for the upkeep of the pool facility including, but, not limited to, proper water chemistry and safety check of all equipment. The pool manager may also assist with the supervision and evaluation of lifeguard staff, schedules and coordinates lifeguard trainings, audits and in-service trainings in accordance with Association standards. The focus will be on providing a safe and clean atmosphere for pool patrons. QUALIFICATIONS of a Pool Manager Pool managers must have at a minimum of two years of aquatics and supervisory experience, facilities management or minimum of three years previous lifeguard experience. Pool managers must hold current Professional CPR, AED, O2 and First Aid certifications, as well as current YMCA/American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certifications. Experience with and knowledge of pool maintenance and proper water chemistry is needed.
