Scope of Job: Reporting to and under the guidance and direction of the SVP, Chief Human Resource Officer, the Vice President, Human Resources will be an experienced professional with a strong operational focus on building, operating, and continuous improvement of delivering exceptional HR service. This role manages programs that will enhance the HR services to include salary administration, benefits, human resource policy, procedures, communication, and management of related tasks. Travel is required. Primary Duties: Responsible for the day to day management, staffing, administrations and related support for the assigned areas of responsibility.Select, train, coach and develop the HR Recruiting, Payroll and Administration employees. Ensure the employees have the specialized knowledge and skillsets required to act independently with the ability to make decision in their respective roles.Responsible for the day to day management and administration of staffing, compensation, benefits, recruitment and retention needs of enterprise employees.Support the HR Recruiting Specialist to develop and implement the approaches, tools and measurements required for recruitment and retention. Provide leadership and training to managers and supervisors in the development of interview approaches and tools which align knowledge and characteristics of candidates to the position.Oversee and responsible for the development of job descriptions that meet the needs of the Bank, review current job descriptions, performs complex job analyses, aids in the development and implementation of internal processes and procedures focused on internal pay equity and pay grade decisions. Conduct classification audits to ensure jobs are properly classified as exempt and nonexempt.Provide expertise in managing the legal, regulatory, technical, and reputational risks for the HR function. Give counsel and actionable support for compliance and improvement and ensure clear and consistent communication.Develop and implement metrics and feedback mechanisms to measure HR performance and delivery of service, and create actionable initiatives based on measures.Responsible to establish and maintain the HR policies, practices and procedures.Complete market surveys, analyzes data and trends in compensation; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.Stay updated on benefit trends to identify competitive benefit programs. Secondary Duties: Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.Maintains relationships with professional organizations, peers at other financial institutions, and/or Bank regulatory bodies to provide input and feedback on related areas of expertise to the Management Team.Act in a leadership capacity, providing relevant expertise and counsel; actively supporting work and employee development activities of the Bank.Supports community through active involvement.Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education:A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.Industry recognized professional certification(s) and/or certificates.Experience:5 years' experience in related field.Experience in human resources.Experience in working as supervisor, mentor, and coach.Knowledge and Special Skills:Knowledge of Human Resources, including salary/benefit administration, staffing, legal, and regulatory issues.Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.Knowledge of BankWest products and services.Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.BankWest is a "Sales Organization" and all employees are expected to participate directly or indirectly with increasing BankWest's presence in their markets as appropriate.
