Essential Functions: n n Operate a combination of E/O IR sensors, mapping systems and communications equipment to include troubleshoot mission equipment issues that may arise during mission operation n Responsible for data acquisition of fire incident mission equipment suite providing analysis and dissemination of multi-source collections n Apply system knowledge and analysis techniques, procedures, and coordinate with customers, hardware team, software team and functional experts within AEVEX to maximize mission effectiveness n Use a combination of maturity, skill, CRM, and experience to function safely and effectively as an aircrew member in a temporary flight restriction (TFR) environments for fire incidents n Conduct operational checks of mission and communications equipment as required n Responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing of fielded and prototypes based on customer or engineering design specifications n Execute all assigned pre-flight, mission flight, and post flight duties as required to safely and effectively operate mission systems supporting initial/extended attack and other missions such as search and rescue. This includes, mission planning, pre-briefings, mission system inspection, operation, troubleshooting, post-flight inspections, debriefings, fire activity product preparation and distribution, and mission documentation n Responsible for the documentation, testing and/or modification of computer configurations and mission operating systems n Perform sensor upgrades, mission system maintenance and troubleshooting n Maintain supporting team updated on systems status and requires maintenance actions as well as reporting spares necessary to maintain an operational readiness n nn Qualifications n n Bachelor's degree preferred n Three years experience at Airborne Sensor Operations (manned) desired n Previous aircraft ICS communication experience n Previous SATCOM and data link experience n Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground communication coordination experience n Relevant ISR mission/intelligence product support experience n Full Motion Video (FMV) i.e. FLIR 380HD/HDc, MX-15/20/25 or similar experience n Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) software i.e. ArcMap, Google Earth, or similar experience n Comfortable with Windows environments and Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) n Manned aviation experience (C-12, P3, DHC-8, KA, etc.) n Required to satisfactorily complete additional training as necessary n nn AEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits. nn About AEVEX Aerospace n AEVEX Aerospace, headquartered in Solana Beach, California, supports the U.S. national security mission and partner nation needs around the world by providing full-spectrum aviation, remote sensing, and analysis solutions.
