As the Facilities Associate you would be responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and distributing mail/supplies from post office and other credit union vendors. As well as providing departmental support and coverage for the Facilities & Services department of Suffolk Credit Union. Responsibilities : Processes, sorts, and delivers incoming mail from post office and other shipping vendors Assist with the day-to-day operations of the facilities department including answering phones and emails to address building, equipment, and staff concerns/issues Provide departmental coverage as needed that includes placing service calls with vendors for office equipment and other building needs. Assist with the credit union return mail program including logging of bad addresses in system and processing of daily incoming returned mail. Process and fulfill daily supply orders and pull from credit union inventory in supply room. Locates stock and delivers requested items to authorized departments. Replenish and maintain supply inventory as needed from approved vendors and other sources, Performs clerical duties related to maintaining stock inventories and supply room. Interface with vendors and contractors performing maintenance/repairs on facilities and office equipment. Operate postage machine, mail inserter, copier, and other office equipment for mail processing and other parcel deliverables. Available to work occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends for special projects, emergencies, department coverage, and opening the building not to exceed 20% of the time. Assist with transporting mail, supplies, and other deliverables between branches and off-site locations. Backs up other departmental staff as necessary including opening of the building prior to staff arrival as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: One to two years of facilities and/or mailroom experience preferred, High school diploma or equivalency required. Knowledge of mail distribution and parcel delivery techniques Intermediate mathematical skills Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
