Position: Director, Alumni Mentoring (Post Secondary and Workforce Development) POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for managing team members to achieve the goal of 80% of Alumni active in one of the E3 tracks ( Enrolled in a Post-Secondary Institution, Enlisted in the Military or Employed ). Core Job Responsibilities Manage team members to connect and coach the Alumni Littles on their caseload, resulting in achieving a monthly goal of 70% connection rate with the Alumni that are "due" for contacts. Lead the team on implementing initiatives and activities for Alumni & High School Youth (i.e. connecting on Community College campus, creating engagement opportunities for Alumni, introductory activities for high school Littles etc). Cultivate and maintain key Education and Employment Relationships to advance BBBSEMO's reach and impact. (For example, College and Universities, Local Employers, etc.) Develops a strong partnership with the team members and leaders of the 1:1 Mentoring Department to successfully introduce and transfer the Senior Class of the 1:1 Mentoring Department to Alumni services and create a great experience for participants and staff. EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree; Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar field; or a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar field required. Successful experience in leadership and management. Experience working with young adult populations, post-secondary education and workforce development. Experience working with a diverse population. QUALIFICATIONS Strong planning and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a variety of staff, volunteers, and families. Demonstrates thoughtful action, highly relationship-oriented, accomplish work with and through others via purposeful collaboration. Experience working with all levels; ability to prepare and present to senior teams and Board of Directors. Confident and self-aware; ability to use appropriate communication style for various levels across the organization. Strong process management skills; able to manage multiple key projects simultaneously. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Technology/computer skills needed. Proficient in the following platforms: MS Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, & Teams); Outlook, & Zoom. · Flexible work hours to meet the needs of youth, families, and volunteers , including nights and weekends . · Home & school visits are a required part of the · Must have car, valid driver's license, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimums Typical Profile of a Big Brothers Big Sisters Team Member: Someone who knows how to make things happen. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary will be based upon professional and academic experience (salary range - $53,000- $60,000) 401(k)-3%match per year following the first year of employment. .625 cents reimbursement on business miles and 100% of out-of-office parking for business meetings, etc. Immediate and 100% coverage on health and dental insurance. Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance following the first ninety days of employment. 50% contribution toward daily parking in a covered garage (employee covers approximately $26.00 per month). 10 days of paid vacation after one year of service. Accrue 1 day per month of sick leave (can also be used for family illnesses) - can carry up to 30 days of sick leave. 2 personal days per year following the first ninety days of service. Annual raises based on performance, culture, and agency's ability. 11 paid holidays.
