JOIN OUR TEAM The Juvenile Detention Specialist Supervisor provides supervision for Juvenile Detention Specialist who is responsible for the care, custody and safety of residents housed at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility. The supervisor ensures that operational policies and procedures are adhered to providing residential care for juveniles housed at the facility. Education and Experience Education A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Corrections, Human Services, Social Services, Education or a closely related degree; OR an Associate's Degree or sixty (60) semester hours Experience Three (3) years of full-time paid experience working directly with adolescent youth (ages 9-21) in a Juvenile facility or childcare institution. Licensing A valid State of Michigan Chauffeur's license and an acceptable safe driving record. Special Conditions Required annually to complete a minimum of forty (40) hours of in-service training, including completion of related correspondence course. Only persons ranked with the top twenty (20) scores on the written test will participate in the Assessment Center portion of the examination. **NOTE** Posting may close earlier than expected due to high volume of applicants.
