A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MACHINE OPERATOR As a machine operator, you play a key role in fulfilling the needs of our customers. At American Bolt, we see every employee in our production department as a resource to help run whatever machine is needed (saw, threading machine, punch, drill, etc.). We have all manual machines. You setup, run, and inspect your work. Using your keen eye for detail, you ensure that parts are machined to customer specifications. You carefully follow all customer requirements by not only running machines, but you are responsible for quality, measuring and adjustments, sharpening tools, and handling rod. This person will be responsible for retrieving and handling their own rod inventory for their job; scissors lift training will be provided. When heavy lifting and operating machinery are required, you always follow safety standards. There is never a dull moment on the job, and you keep up with the fast-paced environment with no trouble. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SAW OPERATOR High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years of experience in manual, hands-on mechanical and machining skills Prefer experience with scissors lifts, or high comfort-level being trained and then utilizing scissors lifts to retrieve product to cut Attention to detail and quality - meeting specs consistently Comfortable handling material and loading machines Workload at machines has some seasonality to it, so willingness to work in any area of production and take on any task needed is required Comfort and ability to work on computers - entering information, retrieving information Ability to safely climb step ladders while carrying heavy products Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly Are you self-motivated?
