Chai Pani Restaurant Group is searching for the right person to join our team as Finance Director. This is a rare opportunity to become a member of our corporate leadership team. The Finance Director at Chai Pani Restaurant Group requires self-assurance, drive, long-term planning skills, people management experience, and the ability to quickly solve day-to-day issues. This position will be responsible for producing thorough financial reports, ensuring that all financial functions are operating smoothly and accurately, and leading the finance team to improve efficiency across all financial operations. This position will lead a team of 3 wonderful finance professionals and report directly to the CFO. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports Manage the monthly financial closing process. Ensure restaurant accounting is complete, accurate and consistent in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Oversight of AP process, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Supervising 3 person finance staff Promote and provide quality service relationships both with internal constituents and external vendors, accountants and bankers. Manage and oversee intercompany transactions Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are updated and relevant Review, support and modernize -where appropriate, all systems in finance and accounting Manage shareholder reporting and ensure that all cap tables are current. Monitor cash flow and ensure restaurant funding is adequate. Be informed about the brand - promote, and support all CPRG initiatives Partner with HR Director with regards to payroll and system requirements and inquiries Foster and support positive and collaborative relationships with CPRG support team (i.e. operations team, training, HR, marketing) Oversee year end reporting on a timely basis for tax filing. Qualifications Multi unit restaurant finance experience CPA preferred Ability to shift focus continually to meet the demands of a dynamic environment. Experience working in a high level finance position with a proven track record of success and experience managing a finance team Proven communication experience with management level operation Hands on working knowledge of restaurant software preferred Strong project management skills - inception, follow up, follow through and completion through clear direction, delegation, and training Experience in working with various investors including hands on cap table experience. Strong accounting background and understanding of controls and processes.
