Ideal Developmental Therapist candidates should have: Set hours between 8am and 5pm, Monday- Friday. Illinois early intervention Developmental Therapist credential or have the requirements to submit for it by hire date. A well-rounded set of child development skills and be interested in developing their clinical skills using evidence-based and reflective practice. Leadership and organizational skills necessary to act as Case Manager for assigned clients' therapy teams and act as primary point of contact for assigned clients' families. Knowledgeable in various evidenced-based practice approaches including Floortime/DIR and Intentional Relationship Model, and should be comfortable facilitating both individual and group therapy. Flexible, eager to continuously learn and develop new skills, and appreciate working in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative setting. Responsibilities Oversees overall case management duties of the clients assigned to their caseload. Leads therapeutic activities in accordance with the weekly lesson plan and Blue Bird Day manual guidelines. Helps orient staff members to the daily class schedule. Provides individual therapy sessions including ongoing sessions, coverage sessions, and daily case management tasks as needed. Provides guidance and support to classroom TAs through transitions and throughout therapy rotations. Participates in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including weekly emails, phone calls and in person discussions. Serves as the main liaison and point of contact for client care givers. Creates visual schedules, social stories, and home programs to help support therapy goals. Participates in playdates, evaluations, progress reports, and transition meeting for new and existing Blue Bird Day clients. Meets productivity expectations and completes daily documentation requirements in a timely manner. Implements Blue Bird Day curriculum and theories of practice models supporting Blue Bird Day's therapeutic model. Works with BCBAs to assist in implement behavior plans, as needed. Requirements Early Intervention Developmental Therapy Credential Master's Degree preferred Experience working with children with special needs is a plus Who We Are Blue Bird Day is a n intensive therapy program for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders .
